Beads and crafty things

Quick one, I found these hand made buttons beads and keyrings on the net this moring and HAD to share, they are made from polymer clay and ooooooooooh so cute, i wish i had the patience to make things like this!! The jelly babies are SO REAL!!! and the ninjas, oh so gorgeous, and of course the super cuppakes, it really has been cake month in September LOL

BUTTER BUTTER BUTTER - the answer to my cupcake decorating dreams!!

Let there always be good butter, for without butter there is no buttercream...!

A good tasting, good looking cupcake doesn't need an afternoon budget splurge at a professional bakery, nor the shipping in of exotic ingredients, nor the sacrifice of a sunny day as you hand-moulded marzipan daisies for decor. Perhaps one of the most attractive qualities of a good cupcake is this: simplicity.

First, you need a good vanilla or chocolate cake recipe.
Second, you need a good buttercream.
Third, you need a simple yet striking decorating plan.

For now, let's focus on step two.
Because, well. Buttercream has butter in it.
And, I believe in butter.

The secret to a stand-up-and-sing buttercream is a pack of pure butter. When butter is skimped upon, a stiff, super-sweet frosting occurs, bogging down the fluffy cake below.
A good, basic buttercream should be simply that, basic. You need only the right base of ingredients. Beginning with such allows you to create a multitude of succulent frosting flavours without sacrificing texture or taste.

Hey!!! All my blogging about cupcakes has finally got through to the fashionista designers and they have released these wonderful cute sockies!!! There are so many amazing pairs to choose from in this range I had to limit myself to 3 pairs today (but maybe more tomorrow ha ha!)

Other designs include kitchy pandas, tiny little marine stripes and bows, hippos, oooooh all kinds of lovely designs, sorry boys this is definately a girlie posting! I had to buy these cute little purple pumps aswell since my feet are finally returning to pre-Oskar size; the things they dont tell you about having babies!! (and the lovely excuses we find for purchasing such little finds!) lol

Still thinking about Cake

Chris made an awesome Banofee cheesecake for us, and it is huge, and soooooo sweet, have to have some people over later to drink gallons of tea and help us eat it :)
Found these lovely cupcake pics online and had to share it, maybe next week I will make some of my own, best ones I ever seen are from our friends in Liverpool, Rachel Armstrong made a huge selection of them and they are just the BEST!! here are some pics of the last batch she made for a bbq, hhhhmmmmmmm time for a reunion i think so we can have them again!!

Its all about CAKE!!

One of my favourite topics, as all who know me will verify, is CAKE!! These are some of the amazing things that I love in life, all expressed in the form of cake, I mean, c'mon - how good is that???!!

I wish I could decorate as well as this, because I know I would have a good solid base for a business!

..............hmmmmm....................hmmmmmmm...........cake!!!!

If you live in London you can order the cupcakes (as a gift to a friend or your self if you prefer...!), they're a bit pricey but dont they look awesome!! I think I might even be able to attempt something similar.....one day!! lol and then all you, my lovely friends, we will all eat fabulous cake together

Dizzee Rascall - <3 this crazy boy, my top Dizzee tracks are now a bit old skool I guess, and although the new Armen van Helden track is ok (@Bonkers@) - I still prefer @Fix up, look sharp@ and of course 'Jus' an Oskar rascal', I mean @Jus' a Rascal@

Lethal Bizzle - @Police on my back@ - ok, I admit, its a Clash cover so Im bound to love this track!! <3

La Roux - @Bulletproof@ (electro/synth-pop gone mad, the 80's are back with a vengence!!), also catchy is the chorus for @In for the kill@, the rest are pretty rubbish... lol

Little Boots - better to check her out on YouTube as her early postings are more interesting, you can see her playing with the tenori-on... now she has got a record deal she's appealing to the masses and so losing her original buzz (my opinion), tracks to look out for are @Remedy@ (for sure there will be a dance remix for hardcore lovers out there); @Meddle@; @Stuck on repeat@

Staying in the synth-80's-pop theme, Ladyhawke @paris is burning@ is quite catchy.....and @my delierium@

The Ting Tings - I love this band, so cheesy, so easy so great to dance with Oskar to :) @That's not my name@ is just too good, its kinda Japanesey pop, great :) I got the album and often do the dishes to The Ting Tings, how domesticated ;) @Shut up and let me go@

much to do and little time to do it

have moved
still unpacking (easier said than done with 9 week old Oskar wanting lots of mummy-cuddles and being awake much longer these days...!)
still havent completed the Y161 open uni course (deadline 16 oct but i have 2 assignments to do and read another 80 pages before then...)
still only made one of the scrapping pages so far....

gosh....what HAVE i been doing these last couple weeks?? Time to stop talking and start doing!!
